Our story
Chef Yves grew up in France, in a small village at the base of the French Alps called Veyrier du Lac. Baking has always been a Fournier family tradition, and today, He represents the 5th generation of bakers in his family. An old family bakery sign from 1840 hangs on the wall of The French Oven. In Celebration of Cinco de mayo
Chicken “Tinga”
Boneless skinless Chicken, braised with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and smoked chipotle topped with sliced greens onions and cilantro served with “Mexican rice Pilaf.”
May 10
Steak au poivre.
Seared beef Medallions crusted with black peppercorn, flambe witt brandy and served with a creamy peppercorn sauce on a bed of grilled asparagus and potatoes au gratin.

Salmon “En Croute”
Atlantic salmon filet wrapped in a puff pastry with sauteed spinach and mushrooms, served with a lemon capers sauce and Wild rice with pesto.

Happy Memorial Day
Barbeque pork ribs, Creamy Corn with Jalapenos, macaroni, and cheese.
May 31
Roasted half chicken
Cauliflower rice with capers, parsley lemon and sultana, Garlic, anc sour cream mashed potatoes.

We are located in “The Ranch” shopping center on Scripps Trail in Scripps Ranch, across from Jerabek Park and the Swim and Racquet Club. Come taste one of our amazing croissants, grab a delicious sandwich on our house made baguette, or sip on a cappuccino and share one of our decadent desserts with a friend. We were there 30 minutes before they open. My husband and I are always looking for outstanding bakeries in San Diego. This is the best so far. We dined in and we also did some take out.

It's a good thing we are retired! Our friends said they have been picking up pre-made dinners on Fridays and have enjoyed them. Tables are outside and there are no heaters. Bundle up and go enjoy!
